Indirect
phobia
If
the phobia is indirect then the situation can be a little more complex.
To simply remove the projected fear may lead to the creation of a new
and perhaps more debilitating phobia, or possibly bring on more serious
psychological conditions. This is because the inner anxiety, still
looking for a vent, will simply project itself onto something else.
An indirect phobia does not have a single, direct cause. It can be
caused by a build up of anxiety from many different causes over a
considerable length of time (often dating back to childhood). Though
there is usually no obvious single cause, a series of events (often
unpleasant, stressful or traumatic) can be established. This
non-specific anxiety is projected onto an object or situation
by the unconscious mind. The phobia will have some symbolic association
to the original anxiety but it will usually be unconsciously changed or
distorted by the person. By safely dealing with the original causes or
events - we cannot change events but we can change the way we feel about
them - the client can then begin to let go of the feelings associated
with the object or event that causes the trigger or phobic response.
Therefore in a future situation he responds differently to the 'old'
trigger.

How
to get rid of your phobia with hypnotherapy,
NLP
and EFT
Establishing the type of phobia is important. There are two types,
either a 'simple' or direct phobia or a more complex in-direct
phobia. If it is a direct phobia then often the use EFT will
remove the fear and /or the 'fear or the fear'.
A combination of NLP, Hypnotherapy and EFT is used with indirect
phobias to successfully remove the internal anxiety and consequently
the phobia, and any other fears or symptoms related to it.

What is a
phobia?
A phobia is an
extreme fear of something that is not actually dangerous. The sufferer
usually realises their fear is irrational, and will typically say 'I
know it's silly, but...' They are well aware that there is no basis for
such a crippling fear and yet it persists, unrelenting in it's grip of
the sufferer. This is because a phobia is an external symbolic
interpretation of an internal anxiety. The internal anxiety is trapped
within the unconscious mind of the sufferer. In many cases the
continuation of the fear is not about the initial event or thing but
becomes the 'fear of the fear'. In other words we anticipate the fear
the minute we think about the trigger and this in itself can produce the
phobic reaction.
